Victoria Adams Murphy

I am an incoming Clinical Psychology PhD student at Temple University under the mentorship of Dr. Lauren Alloy in the Mood and Cognition Lab. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science with High Honors in Biopsychology, Cognition, & Neuroscience and a minor in Statistics in 2024.

Since 2021, I have worked at the EmoTe Lab at the University of Michigan under the direction of Dr. Sarah Sperry. My honors thesis examined sleep quality and chronotype as etiological factors of psychopathology and investigated their role in emotion-based impulsivity. Currently, I am a study coordinator on the PRIORI Ambient study (MPIs: Drs. Melvin McInnis and Emily Mower Provost; Co-I: Dr. Sarah Sperry), examining passive speech-centered emotion sensing technology in predicting mood episodes in bipolar spectrum disorders. I aim to explore how personalized intervention & digital phenotyping can change illness trajectory in mood disorders.
